SSB Journey at a Glance

Total Attempts: 12

8 times screened out

3 times conference out

1 successful recommendation

Where most would’ve stopped after the 3rd or 4th attempt, Tushar kept going. He saw each attempt not as a failure but as feedback.

Owning His Haryanvi Accent – Speaking with Confidence

One of Tushar’s biggest growth moments came when he stopped viewing his Haryanvi accent as a limitation. Instead, he embraced it.“I gave 30% of my interview and the entire conference in Hindi. I stopped fearing judgment — my thoughts were clear, and that mattered more.”

This shift in mindset became a game-changer. He stopped mimicking others and started owning his story.

The Mindset That Made the Difference

Tushar always believed in staying calm and composed. “I never stressed over results. After every attempt, I asked myself: Did I give my 100%? If yes, I moved on with peace.”

His friends recall that he always created a stress-free and uplifting environment around him.“My interpersonal relationships with the people around me have always been great.”His positive aura wasn’t just personal, it translated into powerful group dynamics during his SSB attempts.

Facing Rejections & Reigniting Purpose

After his 8th screen-out, Tushar had a moment of doubt.“I began questioning if I was even meant for this. But then I told myself — if others can clear it, why not me? I needed to figure out where I was going wrong.”

That’s when he reached out to Shashank Sir, a turning point in his preparation.

“Each story I submitted and got reviewed in R2R gave me a fresh dose of confidence.”

At R2R, the feedback wasn’t generic, it was structured, aspirant-specific, and always growth driven.

Group Discussion (GD) Stratergies that worked

In his recommended attempt, the GD topics were:

  1. Role of conventional vehicles in India’s development
  2. Black Money – Causes & Solutions
Whenever there was a slight pause, Tushar confidently stepped in with a loud and clear voice.“Even if you're nervous, speak. Speak once. Then again. That’s how you build presence.”

Words of Advice for Fellow Aspirants

“Your first version won’t be perfect. Don’t wait to be ready. Attempt, learn, and evolve. Every failure is feedback. You’re just one attempt away from your recommendation.”
